To configure Outlook Express 6.0, follow the instructions outlned below.

  • You will need the email server settings for your domain (your_domain_name.com) in order to complete this walkthrough.

How to Configure Outlook Express 6.0 for InfrontWEB Email

  1. Open Outlook Express.

  2. From the Tools menu, choose Accounts.

    Note: If you have never configured, or used, your Outlook Express email program, at this point the Internet Connection Wizard will open automatically. In such a situation, go directly to step 5.

  3. Click the Add button and choose Mail.

  4. In the Display name field, type your full name.

  5. Click the Next button.

  6. In the E-mail address field, type your email address.

  7. Click the Next button.

  8. Click the down arrow on the My incoming mail is a ____ server drop-down list and choose POP3.

  9. In the Incoming mail (POP3, IMAP or HTTP) server field, type the POP3 server name for your domain. If your email address ends with @earthlink.net, enter pop.earthlink.net.

  10. In the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server field, type the SMTP server name for your domain. If your email address ends with @earthlink.net, enter smtp.earthlink.net.

  11. Click the Next button.

  12. In the Account name field, type your username, which is the part of your email address before the @ sign.

  13. In the Password field, type your email password.

  14. Check the box next to Remember password if you wish to save your password.

  15. Click the Next button.

  16. Click the Finish button.

  17. Highlight your new email account and click Properties.

  18. Click the Servers tab.



  19. Check My server requires authentication

  20. Click the OK button.

  21. Click the Close button.


You have successfully configured Outlook Express 6.0.
